​​GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION and CONDITION:

​As the buildings currently stand they are bolted on top of a concrete stem wall.   The metal trusses and post are placed on 10ft. centers.  Trusses have a 4/12 pitch roof and have approximately 6ft. more head clearance in the center for taller needs.  Trusses are manufactured one piece with the metal post or leg.  The post or leg of the truss will always be either 6ft. or 7ft. long and can easily be adjusted in height.

Most of our customers bolt the heavy metal post alongside a 6x6 wood post to extend to their desired height.  Some customers weld metal extensions to the truss post or leg and others will bolt them on top of a concrete wall or column.  It all depends on what works best for your application and height.

​The 2x4 wood roof purlins are attached to the top cord of the metal truss by a plate that is welded to the truss on approximately 2ft. centers.

​The roof metal and ridge cap will always be galvanized and in good condition. 

​We expect the trusses to have surface rust but be in good structural condition.  On average 20-50 percent of the original paint remaining. 

​We expect the galvanized roof metal to be in good rust free condition with many years of service left.  We clip all the nail heads to minimize tool marks.  Some times we may see some rust under the ridge cap but do not see it until we have the ridge cap removed. 

​

​The wood roof purlins are in good reusable condition and packaged just as they are removed from the buildings.  I do expect for some to be slightly twisted or maybe have a split end.  I usually tell our customers there may be a few boards you may want to replace but most are in good reusable condtion.  We clip or pull the original fasteners so as to help eliminate nails protruding from the wood.

​PICKUP OR DELIVERY:

​Pick up of your building package can be made at our reclaiming locations.  Delivery is also available to your location.  A loader of some type will need to be provided for unloading or you will need to have at least 3-4 people for hand unloading.

​​INSTALLATION AND WARRANTY:

​We have sold thousands and thousands of feet of reclaimed buildings through the years.  We are more than happy to assist as much as possible with your installation and explain what our past customers have done during their installations.  We are not engineers.  You will be responsible for meeting your own building and local code requirements.  We try to describe the materials as best as we can and you are more than welcome to come see the buildings or materials at our reclaiming sites.  The materials are reclaimed and are sold "As Is" with no specific or implied warranty.
